Newsreaders and USENET newsgroups are tremendously useful in research, much more to me than RSS sites, because of the wealth and depth of articles available.

Good newsreader software - any???
I, too, prefer Agent to the other newsreader software I've tried. It's been updated recently, but that was primarily to fix Y2K bugs, with a few small enhancements thrown in. Agent is possibly the only good Windows newsreader I've found where everything can easily be done with the keyboard. Scott.

know that there is newsreader software out there, which lets you do it from your desktop, not through Google. The question is, once you have such software, That doesn't sound like a good idea, particulary because it may not be there tomorrow. You couldn't have searched very hard.
